Parkline Motors in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking an experienced Service Writer to support our automotive service and vehicle preparation operations. This role manages work orders, coordinates repairs, and ensures vehicles are ready for sale and delivery.

You will work closely with technicians and internal teams in a fast-paced dealership environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and a clear communicator with strong administrative skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Service Writer or in an automotive service environment required.
• Working knowledge of automotive repair processes and parts required.
• Strong communication skills with technicians, service teams, and management.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple work orders and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working with service management software and computer-based systems.
• Valid driver's license required
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and manage service work orders accurately and efficiently
• Coordinate vehicle repairs and service work prior to sale and post-purchase when needed
• Communicate with technicians and service staff to track progress and ensure timely completion
• Research automotive parts and assist with parts coordination and ordering
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation within dealership systems
• Provide internal updates on repair timelines, vehicle status, and completion expectations
• Assist with vehicle delivery coordination when follow-up service work is required
• Support workflow efficiency and organization within the service department
