Job summary

Target Corp is seeking a Security Specialist in Odessa, TX to safeguard guests and team members. You will greet guests, assist with needs, and help create a safe shopping environment while following AP policies and security procedures.

The role requires flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays, the ability to move merchandise safely, and use surveillance and handheld devices to document incidents.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment.
• Effective communication skills.
• Work both independently and with a team.
• Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and assist with needs to ensure a smooth shopping experience.
• Resolve issues and help guests find what they need.
• Document security incidents accurately in case management systems.
• Respond to security incidents promptly and use de-escalation tactics as needed.
• Access and operate Target's video surveillance system to monitor store activity.
