Job summary

Target is seeking a Security Specialist in North Haven, CT to help protect guests, team members and assets. You will support front-end operations, document incidents and use video surveillance while following AP policies. The role requires strong communication, a team mindset and the ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.

Training is provided; experience with security procedures and de-escalation is a plus. Starting pay is $19.25–$28.90 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet state/local licensure or legal requirements for the position.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage guests and team members at the store front.
• Lead a physical security culture and maintain safe/secure standards store-wide.
• Respond to and document security incidents.
• Conduct merchandise recoveries and provide apprehension support as needed.
• Prevent theft and shortage by performing receipt checks.
• Submit documentation in the system following AP policies.
• Understand and use the video system.
• Maintain safety and a clean store environment.
• Provide service and a shopping experience that meets guest needs.
