Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned.
• Experience: at least one year of student teaching or approved internship.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the district curriculum and show evidence of preparation.
• Prepare lessons with accommodations for different learning styles.
• Present subject matter according to TEA guidelines and policies.
• Plan instructional activities reflecting student needs and learning styles.
• Assess student learning and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula for IEPs.
• Plan goals and methods with staff and district requirements.
• Supervise teacher aides and volunteers; use technology to enhance learning.
• Maintain communication with parents, students, and staff; attend meetings.
