Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of concepts, principals and methodologies of instruction.
• General knowledge of academic curriculum for assigned classes.
• Demonstrates ability to develop instructional goals to design and deliver instruction and to assess students’ learning.
• Demonstrates ability to communicate with others effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Demonstrates ability in decision making, problem analysis, conflict resolution, interpersonal relationships, and planning.

Responsibilities

• Plans, delivers and evaluates instruction for science content.
• Plans, teaches and assesses writing; uses district curriculum for daily activities.
• Maintains classroom order per division guidelines; supervises before/after school activities.
• Collaborates with faculty; communicates regularly with parents.
• Ensures compliance with federal/state statutes and local policies; participates in professional development.
