Responsibilities

• Plans a program of study that meets the needs, interests, and abilities of students.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to student maturity.
• Guides learning toward curriculum goals.
• Employs instructional methods and materials appropriate to the assignment.
• Assesses student progress regularly and provides required progress reports.
• Participates in multidisciplinary teams and IEP/RTI teams as needed.
• Counsels with colleagues, students, and parents regularly.
• Maintains records as required by law and district policy.
