The role requires an Idaho teaching certificate with endorsements, strong classroom management, and deep knowledge of the Idaho Core Standards. You will design lessons, supervise staff, and promote high standards for student achievement.

Qualifications

• Idaho teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement(s)
• Strong background in teaching methods, developmentally appropriate classroom activities, and effective classroom management
• Demonstrated knowledge of subject matter and effective teaching methods
• Strong background in curriculum and the Idaho Core Standards
• Strong background in the integration of technology with instruction
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
• Work well with students, staff, and the public
• Excellent organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare for assigned classes
• Design lessons with an appropriate level of difficulty that provide content in a logical and sequential manner
• Employ a variety of instructional techniques and media, consistent with the needs of individuals or student groups
• Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated
• Identify pupil needs and provide instruction appropriate to those needs
• Analyze and interpret student data to develop and modify instructional activities
• Follow modifications and accommodations as specified in IEPs
• Implement the Idaho Core Standards and district goals in lesson plans and assessments
• Devise assignments and tests that require analytical thinking and factual reproduction, and assess progress
• Prepare students academically for testing
• Display command of the subject matter
• Budget class time effectively
• Encourage students to strive to meet their highest potential
• Establish and communicate classroom rules and standards
• Be available outside instructional day when required
• Maintain open lines of communication with students and parents
• Protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities
