Job summary

Washoe County School District is seeking an Elementary-Middle-HIgh School Classroom Teacher to implement curriculum, assess student learning, and support diverse learners. The role spans elementary through high school, requiring a valid Nevada teaching license and strong content knowledge.

You will collaborate with administrators to align instruction with standards and engage families and the broader community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with student teaching experience.
• Three (3) years of verified contracted teaching experience with a Bachelor's Degree and the ability to obtain a valid teaching license in Nevada.
• Knowledge of Child development; behavior and characteristics of students; subject area and/or credential area of teaching.
• Familiarity with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates mastery of content and pedagogy; sets instructional outcomes for diverse learners.
• Creates an environment of respect and rapport; organizes space for a safe, resource-rich learning.
• Delivers instruction aligned with Common Core State Standards; embeds assessment in instruction.

• Participates in a professional community and demonstrates professionalism and ethical conduct.
