Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Student teaching/practicum/internship meeting Colorado's requirements.
• Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license.
• Appropriate CDE endorsements or equivalent in the content field - Elementary Education (K-6) or Science (6-12).
• Basic knowledge of office equipment (phones, copiers, fax, email).
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Basic classroom management and planning skills.
• Basic organizational skills.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication and interpersonal relations skills.
• Ability to align curriculum and assessments with state content standards.
• Ability to support programs to increase student achievement.
• Ability to lead in development and communication of curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students individually, in groups, and in classrooms.
• Develop and implement coursework, lesson plans, and learning activities.
• Assess and grade student work and provide feedback.
• Create varied assessment tasks and use data to adjust instruction.
• Maintain a productive classroom environment and manage student behavior.
• Monitor student progress and adapt support accordingly.
• Communicate student progress with parents and staff.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve instruction and outcomes.
• Participate in meetings and professional growth opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
