Qualifications

• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans with district curriculum requirements and accommodations.
• Use instructional strategies and materials aligned with TEA guidelines and policies.
• Assess student learning styles and plan accordingly.
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Plan and assign work to instructional aides and volunteers and supervise completion.
• Assess student achievement and monitor progress; sponsor extracurricular activities as assigned.
• Maintain professional relationships and communication with parents, students, colleagues, and community.
