Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Associate to support customers, stock shelves, and maintain a clean, organized store environment. You will unload trucks, build displays, rotate merchandise, and assist shoppers in locating products.

You will ring up purchases, handle cash, and follow plan-o-gram guidelines with attention to safety and accuracy. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; relocation is not available for this position.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandising guidance.
• Basic cash handling and math skills.
• Knowledge of IBM cash registers.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise to shelf or backroom.
• Follow processes to receive, open and unpack cartons; store or display.
• Build and rotate merchandise displays and face products.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register and bag purchases; collect payment and make change.
• Restock recovered merchandise and keep store clean.
• Greet customers and comply with company policies.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
• Help set up sidewalk displays when necessary.
