Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store associate to serve customers, stock merchandise, and assist in maintaining clean, well-organized store spaces.

You will unload deliveries, build displays, ring up purchases, and help customers locate merchandise while upholding safety and cash-handling procedures. This role requires frequent walking and standing, lifting up to 40 pounds, and flexible shifts in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Strong interpersonal and cash handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons; store merchandise.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock and rotate merchandise on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register and bag merchandise; collect payment.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners.
• Clean front end, set up sidewalk displays when needed.
