Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an on-site Retail Associate to support store operations in a fast-paced environment. You will assist customers, stock shelves, process transactions, and help maintain plan-o-grams and displays.

The role requires strong communication, basic math, and familiarity with cash register operations. Relocation is not offered and the position emphasizes teamwork and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; stock merchandise in stock room or on sales floor.
• Build and stock merchandise displays; rotate and face items on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise; assist customers in locating products.
• Greet customers and operate cash register to total purchases; bag items and collect payment.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners as needed.
• Keep store clean: dust, mop floors, clean restrooms and stockrooms.
