Job summary

Schahet Hotels in Indianapolis, IN, seeks a rockstar dinner server to brighten guests' day at our Hilton Garden Inn restaurant. The ideal candidate is fast-paced, upbeat and personable, aiming to make every meal memorable and encourage guests to return.

You will greet guests by name, know menu items and preparation methods, answer questions concisely, and maintain exceptional guest-service details. This role emphasizes hospitality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Restaurant server or similar role.
• Customer service experience.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly using your name.
• Be knowledgeable of Hilton Honors members standards.
• Be knowledgeable of all menu items, ingredients, pairings, garnishes and preparation methods.
• Answer questions about the menu concisely; ask the manager/Executive Chef if unsure.
• Pay attention to details of guest service (water, flatware, napkins, etc.).
• Ensure correct items are served; inform the chef/manager if something is off. Do not bring incorrect items to guests.
• Clear all dirty items from the table as courses finish; tables bused within 4 minutes of guest departure.
• Maintain clean stations and ensure proper table settings for shift start.
• Have necessary tools ready (pad, pen, check folder, towel, tray, etc.).
• Complete all set-up and side work as per sheets and cleaning schedule.
• Manage receipts and report any missing items; uphold cash handling duties.
• Channel guest comments to the manager on duty (positive or negative).
• Do not add gratuity without permission from guest and Manager.
