Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking a high-energy Recreational Sports staff member to support the UCSF Fitness and Recreation program. The role is part-time (40% variability) with an average of 8–16 hours per week, delivering engaging instruction, assisting participants, and upholding safe, fun activities on campus.

You'll work under the Recreational Sports Manager, create and follow lesson plans, provide excellent customer service, and apply UCSF HR policies.

Qualifications

• Certification to instruct in the applicable recreational sports program or equivalent experience.
• English verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to pass FBI and DOJ background checks.
• Ability to apply UCSF HR policies.
• Good time management and multi-tasking.
• Knowledge and experience in sports.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day operations of the Recreational Sports unit.
• Provide quality instruction to program participants.
• Deliver excellent customer service.
• Follow lesson plans and ensure safe, fun participation.
• Collaborate with Recreational Sports Manager.
