The City of Commerce is seeking a part-time Recreation Aide to support our recreation programs. Under general supervision, you will help with customer service, instruction, and supervision of activities, events, classes and sports at city facilities.

Duties include leading activities, checking-in participants, setting up sites, enforcing safety rules, and assisting staff with supplies and records. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 6 months of related experience; a valid CA

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; 6 months recreation-related experience (arts, crafts, games, classes, sports, coaching, events).
• First aid and CPR knowledge is a plus but not required at hire.

Responsabilités

• Lead recreation activities and set up sites for events and programs.
• Enforce rules and safety, supervise participants, and resolve issues.
• Instruct activities and assist with equipment, supplies and records.
• Assist with programs for children, teens and adults and maintain attendance records.
