Job summary

PDS Health in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to support dentists with patient care, imaging, and intra-oral documentation. You will prepare treatment areas, take X-rays and intra-oral photos as directed, and help educate patients on post-treatment care.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, state-required certifications, and an associate degree or certificate; benefits include medical, dental and vision, PTO, tuition reimbursement, 401K, and weekend shift

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and state mandated certification/licensure
• Associate degree or one-year certificate from a college or technical school or equivalent
• Certifications/licensure as mandated by the state (e.g. radiograph exposure, coronal polish)

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist to gain patient commitment for best possible treatment with urgency
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment for patients
• Prepare patients for treatment and assist doctors during procedures
• Take X-rays and intra-oral pictures as directed by the dentist
• Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and operatories according to ADA guidelines
• Ensure compliance with state and federal safety regulations and HIPAA requirements
