Job summary

Pioneer Ridge Health & Rehab is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant to provide treatments, tests, and evaluations for residents under the supervision of the Registered Physical Therapist. A current PTA license is required.

The PTA will report to an on-site Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapist, collaborate with other therapy disciplines, and handle daily therapy treatments along with related documentation and billing tasks.

Qualifications

• Must have current Physical Therapy Assistant license.

Responsibilities

• Reports to on-site Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapist.
• Interdisciplinary collaboration with Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy for planning treatments.
• Responsible for all Physical Therapy treatments on a day-to-day basis; evaluates resident performance and communicates with nursing and physicians.
• Documents resident progress and treatments in accordance with therapy plans as directed by the Registered Physical Therapist.
• May maintain and inventory durable medical equipment; orders supplies for the therapy department.
• May participate in meetings such as Quality Assurance, Restraint meetings, and Care Planning.
• Responsible for therapy billing, questionnaires, and progress notes.
