Job summary

Shannon Health in Texas is seeking a Physical Therapy Aide/Assistant to implement prescribed treatment programs for neonatal through geriatric patients under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, following established physical therapy practices.

In this role you will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, collect patient data, document progress, assist with student training, and promote evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Must hold an associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) in Texas.
• BLS certification within 90 days of start date and maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Implement prescribed exercises and treatments for patients under PT supervision.
• Collect and document patient data and progress in records.
• Assist with discharge planning and patient education on equipment use.
• Support student training and complete required assessments promptly.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and promote evidence-based practice.
