Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana is seeking an adjunct faculty member in the Physical Therapy program. The position is temporary and part-time, hired each semester as needed to deliver instruction and assessment using standard syllabi.

The adjunct will develop course syllabi, teach scheduled classes, maintain attendance and grading records, and be available to students outside class time. A CCCE/CI requirement and appropriate licensure are specified for candidates.

Qualifications

• Earned bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution.
• Academic preparation appropriate to the Physical Therapist Assistant program.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned classes according to the syllabus provided by the School.
• Provide syllabus appropriate to course(s) being taught and follow syllabus content and requirements.
• Maintain student attendance and grading records per College policy.
• Be available to students outside scheduled class time to assist and answer questions.
• Use technology such as Canvas and PowerPoint to support instruction.
• Meet all scheduled classes and notify chair in emergencies.
• Adhere to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all activities.
