Job summary

Roers Companies is seeking an energetic Property Manager for Canvas Apartments in Minneapolis, MN. You will oversee leasing, resident relations, and property operations while driving occupancy and budget targets.

Minimum 2+ years in affordable property management plus strong customer service and communication skills are required; Yardi and RENTCafé experience is preferred. A Bachelor’s degree is favored, with weekend flexibility and a professional appearance encouraged.

Qualifications

• 2+ years affordable property management, leasing and/or sales experience.
• 2+ years customer service experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Yardi and RENTCafé experience preferred.
• Local market experience preferred.
• Ability to work every other weekend, and every Saturday during peak season.
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency.
• Experience with marketing and leasing initiatives for new development preferred.
• Organized with good time management.
• Flexible schedule due to staffing and property needs.
• Entrepreneurial mindset – client- and teammate-first.
• High integrity – honest and reliable.
• Physical ability to walk property, including up to 4 flights of stairs, and drive to area outreach events.
• Maintain neat, well-groomed professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Achieve property performance goals set by management.
• Maintain strong resident relations, ensuring residents are served well and satisfied with the community.
• Oversee the leasing of apartments and ensure occupancy rates are maintained.
• Direct property operations and staff in cost-effective and efficient manner.
• Supervise maintenance staff to complete work orders and repairs timely.
• Oversee rent collections and bank deposits; pursue delinquent rents and evictions timely.
