Ashurst Perkins Coie US LLP’s nationally recognised Private Client Services group seeks a Probate Paralegal to join our team in Seattle. The role supports attorneys, handles probate matters, asset allocation, and tax returns, and requires client confidentiality and high professional standards.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree, 3+ years probate/trust experience in a law firm, and familiarity with tax software. Paralegal certificate is preferred. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of recent experience in probate and trust administration in a law firm preferred.
• Recent experience with tax preparation software.
• Paralegal Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains positive contact with clients and observes confidentiality of client matters.
• Coordinates and attends client conferences and assists attorneys in preparing for client meetings.
• Administers allocation of assets and trust funding and coordinates asset transfers.
• Maintains current knowledge of probate proceedings in the State of Washington.
• Prepares federal and state estate tax returns and federal gift tax returns.
• Keeps accurate time records.
• Is present at work during regularly scheduled working hours and as needed in the position.
