Job summary

The PA conducts exams, orders tests, prescribes medications, educates patients, and coordinates care with the VA and other staff, maintaining documentation in VISTA and supporting performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years PA outpatient experience; 3–5 years preferred.
• Current NY license; DEA license and scope of practice.
• BLS/CPR certification; prescriptive authority; NCCPA maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary and preventive care under PCP supervision.
• Prescribe medications and manage treatment plans.
• Order/interpret labs and diagnostics; refer as needed.
• Maintain patient records in VISTA and ensure timely chart completion.
