Job summary

Pierce ECC in Irving, TX seeks a PreK ESL Teacher for the 26-27 school year. The teacher will provide engaging ESL instruction to PreK students, align lesson plans with TEKS, and collaborate with Irving ISD staff to support bilingual learners.

Requirements include a valid Texas teaching certificate for the appropriate grade, ESL supplemental certification preferred, and at least one year of student teaching or internship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and valid Texas teaching certificate for the assigned subject/level.
• ESL Supplemental Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement plans for the curriculum program assigned and show written evidence of preparation.
• Present the subject matter according to TEA guidelines and district policies.
• Use data to plan instructional strategies and accommodate individual needs (gifted, bilingual/ESL, 504, etc.).
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula as per IEPs.
• Plan and supervise assignments for aides/volunteers in the classroom.
• Utilize technology to strengthen teaching and learning.
