Job summary

Transocean is seeking a Dynamic Positioning Operator to operate the DP system, Fire and Gas system, and the Vessel Management System (VMS) where applicable on offshore assignments. You will report to the Senior DPO and functionally to the Chief Mate.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, with preferred trade/tech schooling or university training. Lifeboatman certification and current medical/vaccination documentation are expected, with strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant craft education.
• Lifeboatman certificate is required or preferred.
• Medical examination and vaccination certificates current.
• Knowledge of basic technical calculations for safe marine operations.
• Norway-specific qualifications may apply where required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the DP system, Fire and Gas, and VMS where applicable.
• Maintain safe and compliant operations and follow DP procedures.
• Participate in safety drills and operational meetings.
• Assist in routine maintenance and data recording for DP equipment.
• Coordinate with Senior DPO and Chief Mate as assigned.
