Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; for Pre K, major in ECE or meet other qualifications outlined in Texas Education Code §29.167
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI), if applicable
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
• ESL Certification (for specified roles) and AED/CPR certification where applicable

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum requirements.
• Plan and use appropriate instructional strategies and materials that reflect diverse learning styles.
• Conduct ongoing assessment of student learning and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with staff to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods.
• Supervise instructional aides and volunteers and oversee completion.
• Use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and manage student behavior.
