The PTA implements treatment plans, provides high-quality patient care, monitors progress, and communicates changes in patient condition. The PTA documents services and ensures proper billing, collaborates with an interdisciplinary team for rehab programs, assists in discharge planning, and supervises technicians or staff as needed while aligning with APTA ethics and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
• Excellent communication abilities and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Implements treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist and provides high-quality patient care while monitoring progress.
• Documents services accurately and ensures interventions are billed and compliant with policies.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team and participates in discharge planning to support outcomes.
• Supervises technicians and ancillary personnel; participates in staff orientation and in-services.
• Adheres to APTA Code of Ethics and organizational policies.
