Job summary

South Texas Health System is seeking a Staff Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide services under a physical therapist's supervision. You will screen patients, educate patients and families, and use exercises and modalities to aid rehabilitation for individuals with mobility or functional limitations.

Some travel between facilities may be required. The role requires Texas PTA licensure, current BCLS certification, and clinical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to travel to STHS facilities as needed.
• Membership in professional organization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services under supervision of a licensed PT.
• Screen patients and assess mobility and function.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and home exercises.
• Utilize exercises and modalities to treat and rehabilitate patients.
• Travel between facilities as needed; perform duties as assigned.
