Job summary

Rockport Healthcare Services is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to provide direct patient care under a supervising Physical Therapist in Oakland, CA. The role supports geriatric and general rehab programs and contributes to patient progress through accurate documentation and collaborative team care.

The PTA will educate patients and families, assist with scheduling, and participate in interdisciplinary team conferences, while maintaining safety and compliance with regulatory

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Physical Therapy treatment techniques.
• Understanding the principles of physical modalities employed in Physical Therapy.
• Knowledge of use of prosthetic devices, ambulatory aids, assistive and resistive devices, and training.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to work with all types and levels of patients.
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
