Job summary

Phoenix Physical Therapy is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support licensed therapists in delivering patient-centered care. The role includes preparing patients and equipment, assisting with procedures, and ensuring safety and comfort throughout treatments.

The position requires an associate degree in physical therapy, CPR certification, and a minimum of two years’ experience in PT facilities or rehab settings.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant or graduate from an accredited PTA program.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a PT facility, nursing home or rehabilitation agency preferred.
• Current CPR Certificate and continuing education as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a patient treatment schedule aligned with facility needs.
• Confer with primary care management about patient progress and needs.
• Aid in patient care and safety during treatments.
• Prepare equipment for patient treatments as directed by the PT.
• Assist the PT in selected procedures, monitoring patient and equipment for comfort and safety.
• Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, orderly facility.
• Attend facility meetings as required and perform other duties as assigned.
