Job summary

Pleasantlake is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The role involves direct patient care, documentation of treatment notes, and collaboration with the health team in a healthcare facility.

The PTA will assist in maintaining department operations, participate in care conferences, and help with staff training and discharge planning for residents. Strong communication and technical reading skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state.
• Proficient in Casamba and Point Click Care.
• Ability to read technical procedures and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients as directed by Physical Therapist.
• Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes.
• Assist in maintaining department facilities and equipment.
• Participate in patient care conferences and staff training.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of treatment areas.
• Instruct families and nursing staff in discharge preparation.
