Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Successful graduation from an accredited physical therapy assistant program is required.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant with the State of California is required.
• Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR card is required.
• Minimum of one year experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant is preferred.
• Experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
• Ability to utilize physical therapy equipment safely.
• Ability to relate in a professional manner to patients, physicians, the public and other health care providers while demonstrating excellent customer service is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with physical therapy procedures and related tasks selected by the supervising physical therapist.
• Prepare and maintain treatment areas and equipment.
• Document patient care and assist with progress notes as directed by the PT.
