Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant for the Acute Care Rehabilitation unit at Floyd Polk Medical Center. You will implement prescribed PT programs under supervision, assist with patient assessments, and help improve mobility across age groups in a hospital setting.

Required: APTA-approved PTA program, current state license, CPR certification, and 1 year of PTA experience preferred. Full-time with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a two-year college PTA program approved by the APTA.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• CPR certification every two years.
• One year of experience as PTA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PT programs under supervision of a physical therapist.
• Collect assessment scores and quality of life information.
• Perform tests and evaluations in clinical/research settings.
• Maintain supplies and equipment.
• Assist with research protocol and treatment development; develop materials.
• Participate in staff meetings and in-service training.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work.
