Job summary

Cortlandt Healthcare, LLC in Cortlandt Manor, NY is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our in-house rehab team. This full-time, on-site role offers structured orientation, mentorship, and a gradual caseload ramp to support new graduates.

You will evaluate and treat residents with a focus on function, gait, balance, and safe transfers, collaborating with PTAs, nurses, and other clinicians. We offer a sign-on bonus, competitive pay up to $55/hr, and growth opportunities within a 35-facility

Qualifications

• Doctorate, Masters, or BPT from a CAPTE-accredited program.
• New York Physical Therapist license or license eligible.
• Ability to supervise PTAs per state practice act.
• Strong documentation across evaluations, progress notes, and discharge.

Responsibilities

• Complete PT evaluations: strength, ROM, balance, gait, transfers, endurance, fall risk.
• Set functional goals aligned with discharge planning under physician direction.
• Deliver interventions: therapeutic exercise, gait training, balance, neuromuscular re-education.
• Prepare weekly progress notes, recerts, and discharge documentation on time.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on safe mobility and home carryover.
• Collaborate with nursing on safe transfers and restorative programming.
• Direct and supervise PTAs and students per state practice act.
