Job summary

Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Cambridge is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to help restore patients’ physical function. Requirements include a degree in physical therapy and state licensure; DPT preferred. The position involves onsite work at 1575 Cambridge Street, with a 40-hour week and standard day shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred
• Experience completing internship or apprenticeship 1-2 years preferred
• Licensure as a Physical Therapist required
• Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record systems
• Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with accreditation and certification requirements

Responsibilities

• Completes billing sheet by end of day.
• Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatments to maximize benefit.
• Performs patient assessment and establishes a plan of care.
• Provides in-service education programs for nursing personnel.
• Identifies and documents goals, progress, and reevaluation plans.
• Discusses evaluation, goals and treatment with patient and family.
• Participates in hospital-wide quality process improvement.
• Supervises PTAs according to policy and state regulations.
