Job summary

Cambridgepac in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Credentialed Physical Therapist to plan and administer prescribed treatment programs designed to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability after illness or injury.

You will review referrals, coordinate with physicians, document progress, supervise assistants, and help develop department policies. Prior PT experience preferred; license in Georgia required; ability to lift 50 pounds and travel within the local area.

Qualifications

• Credentialed graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program and licensed in the state where practicing.
• Prior experience in physical therapy preferred.
• Lift 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and/or carrying up to 10 pounds.
• Travel within a local area as needed for patient treatment.
• Work indoors with exposure to some disagreeable conditions.
• Communicate effectively with residents, other therapy staff, and facility staff.
• Comply with safety rules, local/state/federal regulations, and company policies; maintain attendance, cleanliness, and dress code.

Responsibilities

• Review physician referrals and patient data to determine therapy treatment.
• Plan and write treatment programs based on evaluations.
• Confer with physicians and other health practitioners to optimize care and integration.
• Record patient progress and treatment responses.
• Supervise therapists and aides; participate in training and student supervision.
• Administer manual therapy and therapeutic exercises; use modalities as appropriate.
• Document outcomes and contribute to policy/procedure updates and department budget discussions.
