Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) approved physical therapy program.
• Current license from the state Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
• Ability to be Licensed within the State of Montana.

Responsibilities

• Carry out an individualized program of physical therapy including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to maximize progress toward functional goals.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with other health professionals and ancillary staff.
• Provide direct patient care, evaluate needs and outcomes, and adjust care plans for optimal outcomes.
• Design and implement a plan of care based on thorough assessment and involvement of significant others as appropriate.
• Conduct therapy within defined standards of care.
• Direct the assistance of support staff to achieve patient goals.
• Communicate effectively with staff to promote positive outcomes.
• Follow hospital policies, safety, and infection control standards.
• Document evaluations, goals, plans, and prescriptions; update records regularly.
• Pursue professional growth through education, meetings, and workshops.
