Job summary

Genie Matthews and Associates' partner hospital in Miles City, Montana is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join a progressive rural healthcare team. You will provide individualized therapy programs across inpatient, outpatient, schools and outreach settings, helping patients regain function.

The role is full-time, 5 days a week with typical 8:00 am–4:30 pm shifts, some on-call and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) approved physical therapy program.
• Current license from the state Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
• Ability to be Licensed within the State of Montana.

Responsibilities

• Carry out an individualized program of physical therapy including assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to maximize a patient's progress toward achieving functional goals.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with other health professionals and ancillary staff.
• Provide direct patient care, evaluate functional needs and outcomes, and consult with other specialists; review patients' needs and adjust care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Design and implement a plan of care based on assessment of potential development and include significant others when appropriate.
• Conduct therapy practice within defined standards of care.
• Direct the assistance of support staff to achieve patients' functional goals.
• Communicate effectively with other professional and support staff to achieve positive patient outcomes.
• Adhere to hospital and departmental policies, safety, and infection control standards.
• Document evaluations, treatment goals and plans; update documentation and maintain prescriptions and signatures.
• Engage in professional growth through education programs, in-service meetings, and workshops.
• Provide direction and leadership to staff and promote physical therapy in the community.
