Job summary

University Hospitals is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to organize and direct rehabilitation activities, guiding patients through evaluation, treatment planning, and progress toward goals within the care continuum.

The role requires BLS and Ohio license (or Multi-State Compact). The therapist will educate patients and families, support discharge planning, and ensure PHI compliance in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (Required).
• Proficiency in evaluating and planning patient rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Performs evaluation(s) and develops an effective treatment plan appropriate to a patient’s rehabilitation needs within the care continuum.
• Educates patient/family/caregiver in applicable health information, treatment and prevention.
• Initiates and participates in the discharge planning process.
• Performs other department activities such as documentation, billing, support of department operations.
