Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join MHPT @ South Baltimore. You will provide comprehensive PT services, including evaluation, treatment planning, treatment implementation, and discharge planning in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds Maryland, DC, and/or Virginia licensure, and American Heart Association BLS certification, with a commitment to patient-centered care in a large health system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
• Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure required as deemed necessary for your specific location(s).
• American Heart Association’s BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides evaluation services including review of pertinent historical information, performance of specific assessments, and determination of recommendations and documentation of results.
• Explains evaluation findings and treatment plan to patient and family and incorporates patient and family in the goals setting.
• Demonstrates proficiency in implementation of treatment protocols based upon evaluation findings and patient presentation; consults with other healthcare professionals as indicated.
• Completes discharge planning and follows up care; documents and charges for patient care activities with a clear record of course of care and goals.
• Demonstrates time management and meets productivity expectations; maintains an accurate schedule and supports frictionless access to care.
