Job summary

AccentCare is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Huntsville, TX team. The PTA will work under a licensed Physical Therapist, managing patient care, education, and documentation for a caseload across our service area.

The successful candidate will hold an Associate's degree in Physical Therapy, possess a valid state license, CPR certification, and be willing to travel to all locations. This full-time role includes benefits and a $5,000 bonus.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
• Valid license, registration, or permit to practice in state of operation.
• Must possess and maintain CPR certification.
• Must be a licensed driver who can travel to all business locations.
• Ability to implement care plans and communicate findings to the Physical Therapist/physician.
• Ability to educate patients and families in basic home safety and medical equipment safety.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care and documents treatment per physician orders and agency policy.
• Documents interventions, approaches, materials and treatment priorities.
• Delivers organized patient treatment and educates the patient.
• Presents patient information to supervising therapist and informs the team of status.
• Provides skilled treatment per patient needs within agency and payer parameters.
• Collaborates with team on treatment planning and interventions.
• Completes and submits daily notes and required forms to prevent interruptions in care.
• Meets productivity standards and uses time efficiently.
• Attends agency meetings and committees as assigned.
• Respectfully negotiates patient participation and treatment plans.
