Job summary

AccentCare is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for North Austin. This full-time, on-site role involves supporting a supervising Physical Therapist, managing a patient caseload, and contributing to interdisciplinary care.

You will edu```cate patients and families, document treatments, and participate in meetings and in-services. The PTA must have an associate degree, a valid license, CPR, and a driver’s license to travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
• Must possess and maintain CPR certification.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and be able to travel to locations.
• Ability to implement care plans and communicate findings to the Physical Therapist/physician.
• Ability to educate patients and families in basic home safety and medical equipment safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and document treatment per physician orders and policy.
• Document interventions, approaches and priorities for treatment.
• Educate and counsel patients and families during therapy sessions.
• Present patient status to supervising therapist and follow up as needed.
• Provide skilled treatment based on patient needs and payer parameters.
• Collaborate with team during treatment planning and intervention.
• Complete daily notes and forms promptly to avoid care interruptions.
• Meet productivity standards and participate in agency meetings.
