Job summary

The Center at Parmer in Austin, TX is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide therapy services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.

Responsibilities include observing patients, helping develop and coordinate care plans, preparing equipment, and communicating progress. Must hold a current PTA license and CPR certification, pass a background check and drug test; roughly 1 year of SNF experience preferred. Competitive pay and daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current and valid PTA license.
• Must possess a current and valid CPR certification.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
• 1 years' experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observe patients before, during and after therapy, noting their status and reporting to a physical therapist.
• Assist in developing, implementing and coordinating patient care plans for individual patients in coordination and conjunction with the patients assessment.
• Brief patient of procedures involved in physical therapy and prepare necessary equipment-reassure patient before and during therapy treatment.
• Focus on providing the highest quality treatment for patients that allows for excellent patient outcomes.
• Recommend modifications of changes in the patient's therapy program based on evaluation of progress.
• Ensure that all therapy notes are informative, descriptive and follow Company's policy and procedures.
