Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active Georgia Bar admission.
• Minimum 3+ years of personal injury litigation experience with depositions, discovery, and motions.
• Ability to manage a heavy caseload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience with medical records, life-care plans, expert witnesses, and damages calculations.
• Negotiation with insurers and opposing counsel with favorable outcomes.
• Proficiency with case management software and MS Office; willingness to learn firm systems.
• Client-centered, collaborative team player who can work independently with supervision as needed.
• Desire to grow within Midtown Atlanta practice and uphold the firm's reputation.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of personal injury matters from intake through resolution.
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, settlement agreements and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda to support case strategy and motion practice.
• Take and defend depositions; manage witness testimony at hearings and trials.
• Develop discovery plans and review medical records and bills with experts.
• Negotiate settlements and finalize settlement documentation with insurers and opposing counsel.
• Appear in state and federal court for hearings, conferences, mediations, and trials.
• Maintain accurate case management records and meet billing targets.
• Support business development by cultivating client relationships and participating in networking events.
• Stay informed on changes in personal injury law and court rules affecting cases.
