Job summary

Skowhegan Savings Bank seeks a Personal Banker to join the Portland team in a full-time, onsite Portland Branch position with a Monday-Friday schedule. The role involves processing deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, money orders, and loan/credit card payments while building strong customer relationships.

As the Personal Banker grows in experience, responsibilities expand to include a full range of banking services, vault/ATM duties, and contributing to sales growth by cross-selling products

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; experience in retail banking or cash handling preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to cross-sell bank products.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, customer-focused service.
• Process transactions accurately: deposits, withdrawals, cashing checks, and payments.
• Maintain cash drawer balance and perform end-of-day activities.
• Cross-sell bank products and services using HD Banking techniques.
• Assist customers with account openings and follow-up on referrals.
• Participate in training to advance product knowledge and service skills.
• Rotate Saturdays as assigned.
