Job summary

Orange County Public Schools seeks a paraprofessional to support physical education teachers by delivering outdoor lessons, supervising large groups of students, and helping set up equipment. You will assist in planning, maintain discipline, record attendance, and prepare instructional materials while using district technology.

Minimum requirements include an associate degree or higher, 60 semester hours, or paraprofessional certification, plus at least 1 year of PE or related experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher or 60 semester hours from an accredited institution.
• Paraprofessional certification can substitute for education requirement.
• At least 1 year of physical education or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to internal and external customers in a timely, courteous manner.
• Assists in conducting PE lessons outdoors for classes of students.
• Sets up equipment and maintains order and safety during classes.
• Aids in lesson plan preparation and pre-planning sessions.
• Keeps attendance and records student information accurately.
• Coordinates with media center staff for supplemental instructional materials.
• May perform monitoring duties (hallways, car and bus duty).
• Maintains and uses district technology as required.
