Job summary

St. John the Evangelist School in Severna Park, MD is seeking a Part-Time Daily Substitute Nurse to help maintain a healthy school environment.

The nurse will provide health services, respond to health needs, administer medications, and support student well-being. Requirements include Maryland RN license (BSN preferred), at least two years of nursing experience (ideally in a school), and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Current Maryland RN license; BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience.
• Nursing experience in a high school setting.
• Current CPR/BLS certification (Red Cross or AHA).
• Ability to assess medical situations and escalate as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid, medical care, and emergency care to students, faculty, and staff.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Assist in collecting and managing health forms.
• Document encounters, assessments, and interventions.
• Liaise between students, teachers and families regarding health concerns.
