Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.
• Maryland RN license is required.
• At least 3 years of nursing experience.
• Experience with a diverse age group.
• Knowledge of CPR, first aid and AED.
• Ability to provide health services and maintain health records.
• Ability to multi-task and stay calm in emergencies.
• Commitment to confidentiality and school health guidelines.
• Able to affirm and support the Catholic Church in duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic healthcare for students.
• Dispense medication as prescribed.
• Develop health plans for students with chronic illnesses and disabilities.
• Maintain student health records and vaccination records.
• Educate students on healthy habits such as nutrition and hygiene.
• Detect health problems early through screenings.
• Distribute health information to the school community as needed.
• Identify health-related barriers to learning.
• Contact EMS in collaboration with site administration when necessary.
• Obtain and organize medical and administrative supplies.
