Job summary

Caroline County Public Schools seeks a School Nurse substitute in Denton, Maryland to deliver nursing care, medication administration, and health coordination for students. You will support IEP health components and collaborate with teachers and families to promote student well-being and academic success.

Starting immediately, candidates should hold Maryland RN licensure (BSN preferred) with pediatric experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Holds a valid Maryland RN license, preferably with a BSN.
• Minimum of two (2) years nursing experience, preferably with children or adolescents.
• Ability to work independently.
• Demonstrates ability to work cooperatively with teachers and other professional staff.
• Demonstrates good human relations and communications skills.
• Maintains good physical and mental health.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Demonstrates keyboarding and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for students who become sick or injured.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician order and parent authorization.
• Participate in school-based teams; assist in identifying health conditions and developing health plans (IEP).
• Assist students and parents in identifying and utilizing community health resources.
