LAZ Parking in Detroit is seeking an Event Staff / Garage Attendant to welcome customers and manage parking transactions with accuracy and courtesy. This front-line role involves direct interaction with tenants, visitors and employees, handling cash/credit and providing helpful information about facilities.

The position emphasizes flexible, part-time schedules including afternoons, evenings & weekends, with an employee-focused culture and a referral incentive program.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and professional communication.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
• Flexible schedule including afternoons, evenings and weekends.
• Willing to work at multiple facility locations.

Responsibilities

• Meet and greet each customer with courtesy and great customer service.
• Collect parking fees and provide correct change.
• Understand and know how to handle different types of parkers (tenants, visitors, employees).
• Answer customer inquiries and direct questions to the supervisor when applicable.
• Complete the daily report.
• Assist in staffing the exit or entry booth during peak hours to facilitate flow.
• Communicate with management, supervisors and traffic directors.
• Determine traffic flow during equipment failure or construction.
• Demonstrate urgency and timeliness.
• Field additional duties as assigned.
